Yeah, there was a really interesting interview with Woodward on 60 minutes last Sunday. Apparently Bush is a real pushy guy. He even pushes around the Evil One (Dick Cheney) and Rumsfeld. Powell is on the outs with dubya, which is a problem for everyone living in the world.
Well, the linked article indicates Powell is a little more on the ins with Bush lately. Seems like Powell is the only one thinking about the consequences of war in Iraq – one thing mentioned is the shutting down of all US embassies worldwide, which is a chilling little detail. However, could be that Cheney (aka cartoonish supervillain) et al were just letting Powell play diplomat and do his whole UN thing, knowing full well they’ll disregard any unwanted results from the weapons inspections and make up some damning evidence, likely via that PR agency that made up the babies-in-incubators story last time around.
