redo

I’m baaaaack. As you can probably tell, I’ve managed to redo my styles a touch. It ain’t done yet, I’ll keep hammering away. (And feedback on how this thing looks on different browsers is appreciated.) Oh, and pity me: I’m temporarily on dialup, a.k.a. Sucky McSuck.

Looks fine in Mozilla 1.01 on Windows 2k. What is that in the picture in the banner?

  2. mageebags says:

Looks snazzy in IE5 on a Mac.

It’s from this, Adam – blown up real nice. I’m thinking I’ll rotate that pic & change colours with some regularity.

I’m seeing some problems here and there – I’ve still got a lot of work to do. Eek!

don’t know if it’s just me (IE5.1, Mac), but on your navigation-thingie at the top, “photo” has no link.

“navigation-thingie”, incidentally, is the snazzy new term for that, all technical-like…

  9. D says:

that’s odd, marijke – I couldn’t reproduce that error. What page whas it – front page or something else?

    &yipee! we’re covered in IE5/mac, IE6/win2000 and Mozilla mac & win… anyone on IE5/win? opera?

  10. marijke says:

I get it on all the pages — the bubble shiznit comes up, but no link. Except off the icon on the home page. I can get there through that.

incidentally, this time around, when I went to your “about” page, the navigation-thingie (there’s that super-technical term again!) said this:
[an error occurred while processing this directive]

  11. marijke says:

I looked at the source code for this page and there’s a ” mark before href for the photos link, but not the others…
    could that be the problem?

I know nothing about coding, so don’t shoot me if I’m way off-base.

  12. D says:

Thanks marijke – you’re a champ. Good tip about the about page, I need to fix that…

But I can’t figure out what’s happening with the photo link. It works fine for me and the code looks OK. Ah, the mysteries of HTML…

  13. mageebags says:

Yeah, I can’t get the photo link to work either (IE5, Mac).

    [Hi Marijke!!!]

  14. Sassy says:

I like what you’ve done with your blog…good work.

  15. D says:

    Thanks sass!

Bags and Marijke: I checked it out in IE and you’re completely right, there was an extra quote mark bustin’ shit up. Weirdly, the quote mark didn’t show up when I viewed source in Mozilla. That Mozilla is eerily intelligent… Anyfuck, be that as it may, and suchandsuch, the problem is fixed. That quote mark sleeps with the fishes.

  16. D says:

We’re getting there. Margins and padding are still coming off half-cocked in IE. I’ll exhort you to try Mozilla now, and I’ll fix the problems later.
