I Push You

Hey now: “Push It” by Salt-n-Pepa is now the #9 ringtone at Fido. I did this! Ask those whom it pestered; I had “Push It” as my ring tone before the Rogers ad came out (It wasn’t even available as a downloadable at the time). Then some degenerate ad-creative-type pilfered my ingenuity, and now this! Of course my tone is long changed: “Final Countdown.”

I was first! I was first! I was first! Mememememe! (putting the ‘me’ back in ‘meme’, of course)

    that ring sounds damn awful.

i used to have “sweet child o’ mine” on my phone… nothin’ like watching strangers in the streetcar stare at you, and then look embarrassed when they realize they secretly missed that song and are glad it’s going to be caught in their head for the next few hours. (i’m not editorializing at all — i’m sure that’s what they were thinking.)

now i have the batman theme. though i’d prefer spiderman.

Hey, I had “sweet child o’ mine” too! You have good taste, marijke.

Sadly, people in my office made me change it.

Wish I could change my ringer to something cool, the only songs mine can play is Row Row Row your boat and other lame songs as such, I would pick Walk like an Egyptian by the Bangles if I could.

I don’t understand why phones don’t allow you to sample your own ring tones. There’s a mic built right in there, right? I always wanted my phone to cough or clear its throat when a call was coming through. Or say “ring, ring” with bored disdain. Or bark like a dog, scream bloodcurdlingly, threaten like Jim Brown in Slaughter’s Big Rip Off (“I’m a kill you, sucka”).

I’d like mine to say “hey, jackass! you have a call… get off your kiester and answer it.”

Unless it could scream excitedly (a la 12-year-old girl) “Yay! Someone loves me!”

Maybe both, as a call and answer…
